On manifolds homotopy equivalent to RP^4#RP^4
Abstract
Using recent calculations of certain surgery obstuction groups
by Connolly, Ranicki and Davis, one can construct infinitely many
topologically different manifolds of the homotopy type of RP^4#RP^4. In
this talk I'll discuss these manifolds, and in particular address the
question of how these differences persist under various kinds of
stabilizations. This is joint work with Slawomir Kwasik.
