Fourth International Symposium on
Finite Volumes for Complex Applications
- Problems and Perspectives -
July 4-8, 2005 / Marrakech, Morocco

Aim of the symposium

The organisers intend to give the opportunity of a large and critical discussion about the various aspects of Finite Volume methods: Mathematical results, numerical techniques, but also validations via industrial applications and comparisons with experimental test results. By critical we mean that the qualities of the methods but also their limits should be shown, as well as new approaches. New ideas are explicitly welcome.

History

The fourth International Symposium on Finite Volumes for Complex Applications follows the first symposium held in Rouen, France in 1996, the second one held in Duisburg, Germany, in 1999, and the third symposium held in Porquerolles, France in 2002.

Participants

Researchers, engineers and general users in the fields of applied mathematics, numerical analysis, fluid mechanics and other fields of the applied sciences who are concerned with  Finite Volume Techniques for any application. Honoured scientists, industrial delegates and students are equally welcome.

Proceedings and publication

Contributions will be refereed by the scientific committee of FVCA4, and published in proceedings which will be available at the conference in Marrakech. Among these contributions, some will be proposed for publication in the International Journal on Finite Volumes IJFV. The editorial board of IJFV could then ask the involved authors for a more detailed version of their article, which would be subject to the standard process of publication of the review. So please respect the deadlines very strictly.
