Résumé: EDP & Physique mathématique - Ground states and bound states for the semilinear curl-curl problem -
Description: Jaroslaw MederskiWe look for solutions to the curl-curl problem involving a nonlinearity
with subcritical or Sobolev-critical exponent. The problem comes from
the time-harmonic Maxwell equations, where a medium is surrounded by a
perfect conductor or is the whole three-dimensional space. The equation
involving the critical exponent appears also in the search of zero modes
for the spinor equation. We build a functional setting and a
variational approach for this strongly indefinite problem will be
presented. We show the existence of ground states and bound states.
