The department of mathematics of Université Paris 13 offers, via the Labex MME-DII  4 one-year fellowships for students having completed a Bachelor degree in Mathematics and willing to prepare a Master 1 degree in Mathematics, or having completed a Master 1 degree in Mathematics and willing to prepare a Master 2 degree in Mathematics.

The Master 1 program provides a strong background in Algebra and Analysis, as well as in Probability and Statistics. It prepares to the two branches of our Master 2, namely the ``M2 Préparation au concours de l'Agrégation de Mathématiques'' (for students from France or EU), and our ``M2 Mathématiques Fondamentales'', which proposes high level courses in the following themes represented in the department:
•    Arithmetic and algebraic geometry, 
•    Algebraic topology, 
•    Ergodic theory and dynamical systems, 
•    Mathematical Physics and PDEs, 
•    Probability theory.


Candidates are expected to be outstanding students in mathematics who have completed the first three years of university, or a Master 1 degree.

The department offers a financial support of 700 euros per month during 10 months, and will cover a return air or train ticket (economy class).

Applications should be made on line. The candidates must fill a form and upload 

•    a curriculum vitae,

•    a letter of motivation,

•    a copy of the last diploma,

•    a copy of the marks obtained during the current year, as well as a copy of the marks obtained during the two preceding ones.

Moreover, they should provide the names of at least one and at most three professors who will send separately by e-mail a letter of support for their application. These letters should be sent exclusively  to  Isabelle Barbotin (satellites_At_math.univ-paris13.fr).

The deadline for applications and reference letters is May 25, 2015

The Selection Committee will make its decision at the latest by May 29, 2014. The candidates will be immediately informed by email.
