M2 Mathematics of Data
New Master 2 program, opening in fall 2020
Applications of automatic treatment of massive data are becoming ever more important. It results an unprecedented demand for people professionals mastering the tools and techniques underlying this automatic treatment.
The new master 2 program will address all the main mathematical tools used in data science: arithmetics for cryptography, wavelets for signal processing, statistics for knowledge extraction...
The goal is to train professionals able to deploy mathematical ressources to solve issues concerning security, processing, analysis and exploitation of data.
A wide knowledge covering all the facets of "Mathematics of Data" should allow the students to adapt to the future evolution of an ever growing field.
The Master 2 program is proposed by the Math Department, in collaboration with the Computer Science Department.
